I responded once, and it appears to have disappeared - oh, well!

I am preparing a post on the Utah shale, but it requires illustrations that will need two good arms to prepare, and we aren't quite back to that yet.

Thanks for the info, the source I did not know!Heading Outhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01790783659594652657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5251183560375528307.post-89902175622115995632009-05-11T07:20:00.000-05:002009-05-11T07:20:00.000-05:00Wow. My first thought was that this statement might be more acceptable politically somehow to the ignoramus section of the voting public; McIntyre's piece got 250 responses and perhaps this is debated therein. Or it's avoiding the thorny topic of how hot the poles have been in the past? Anyway you cut it, pretty appalling. These appointees are real pieces of work...this is as bad as Pelosi's comment about the NG alternative to fossil fuels.

Rapier's TOD piece on shale left out two important basics on kerogen I always point out to people - that the sediments were from freshwater sources, and thus are 1) very waxy and 2) very smelly. Thus you'll have a hell of a stink with attendant health issues to consider, and also a whole army of pigs cleaning out pipes round the clock.KLRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00691172491186270514noreply@blogger.com
